The residence is less than three blocks from Marshall Square Mall, which has a fitness center free for all SU/ESF students, a United States Postal Service store, and other fun shops. Students flock to the bars and eateries of Marshall Street, and 608 Walnut Avenue is a short walk from it all.
The building is also very close to the Connective Corridor route. Connective Corridor is a Syracuse University sponsored bus that is free for students and connects them to north and south campuses, and a wide range of destinations available in downtown Syracuse such as Armory Square and the Everson Museum of Art.
