What To Do
Syracuse, New York has something for everybody. Home to many museums and galleries, such as the Everson Museum of Art, Syracuse is booming with performance arts and, of course, is a big sports town. Syracuse University’s sports teams are officially known as the Orange since 2014, although the former names of Orangemen and Orangewomen are still used informally. The school’s mascot is Otto the Orange. SU fields teams in 8 men’s sports and 12 women’s sports. As a resident of Campus Hill, you will never be far from a diverse social nightlife and shopping centers with everything you could need, such as Destiny USA.
Getting Around Town
If getting around by foot and bike isn’t good enough, Central New York is served by Centro bus lines. Many Centro buses travel through the Syracuse University on a regular basis and travel to destinations such as the the Regional Transportation Center, Destiny USA shopping mall, Shoppingtown mall, and other locations frequented by SU students–including downtown Syracuse (a transfer point). Centro also runs campus bus routes and shuttle services for athletic and special events at the Carrier Dome.
